Andrew Arboe

Andrew Arboe is an autistic self-advocate with a professional work background consisting of public and private schools, nonprofits, and online programs. He decided to go into human services and education because of his experiences in special education and aging out of it to find little resources for young adults. This is why Andrew works in places like the FOCUS Center for Autism and Anderson Center for Autism as his brand represents his public speaking and contracting services for any provider. Andrew served on the boards of Disability Rights Connecticut, ANNA, and The Autism Project. His passions in his work include job coaching and transportation, two vital aspects within transition. He has job coach experience for four years and Andrew has been a lifetime for driver readiness advocacy for autistic drivers. Andrew is the SANDI Connecticut ambassador to help bring new resources into state through his work with Neurodiverse Technologies and Vanderbilt University.

Finally, Andrew graduated from Manchester Community College with an associate degree as a Disability Specialist and Charter Oak State College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Andrew plans to enroll into Kansas’s University for their special education and transition graduate program to build skills to be a leader in transitional services. Within that broad field, Andrew plans to become a vocational rehabilitation counselor to combine his experiences together to make a difference.
