Locative Tech & Equipment

Connecting First Responders and Families

We believe in the importance of providing families with the necessary resources to keep their loved ones safe. That’s why we offer funding and support for locative technology and equipment. Our focus is on helping those who may be prone to wandering and providing access to GPS and locative tech equipment to families in need. This ensures that first responders have the tools they need to quickly and safely locate and return people with autism who may wander or become lost.

SafetyNet Tracking Bracelets

Through our partnership with SafetyNet Tracking, we are able to provide tracking bracelets to caregivers of people with autism with underlying conditions with a history of wandering who could not otherwise afford them. Additionally, this ensures access to a 24/7 emergency call center and secure database of client information for law enforcement use in emergency situations.

SafetyNet enables public safety agencies to more quickly find and rescue individuals with cognitive conditions who are prone to wandering and becoming lost. The service is comprised of a SafetyNet watch worn by a client that emits radio frequency signals, which can be tracked by local public safety officials via their SafetyNet Search and Rescue Receivers.

Seat Belt Covers

Our seat belt covers are the first signs that first responders see that indicate that the person may not respond appropriately in a high stress situation due to their autism. The Flutie Foundation distributes over 1,500 seat belt covers to first responders to distribute to their local community as a free resource to build inclusion around interactions with first responders and law enforcement.
