Brittany Madruga

Hi, I’m Brittany Madruga, the proud owner of Peaceful Petals LLC. As a dedicated behavior consultant, my commitment to this field is profoundly influenced by my neurodiversity. My educational background is distinguished by a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, and an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Over the course of 15 years, I have accumulated extensive experience in working with neurodivergent children and adults in various settings (in-home, schools, clinics, residential facilities, etc.).

My journey took a transformative turn when I was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) at the age of 22, followed by an Autism diagnosis at 31. These revelations empowered me to harness the unique qualities that come with neurodivergence. I wholeheartedly embrace my neurodiversity as a strength, one that has consistently allowed me to excel in my career and have given me the ability to provide exceptional behavioral consultation services to clients with diverse diagnoses. My unparalleled attention to detail, problem-solving skills, remarkable capacity for hyperfocus, and innate ability to recognize patterns and connections that offer differing opinions and insight during collaborations with fellow professionals and organizations.

I am an advocate for the inclusion of neurodiversity. I actively engage in initiatives that strive to foster greater accessibility and inclusivity in workplaces, classrooms, and communities. Since starting my business in September, I have been on a Podcast to talk about “Changing Paths”, I have presented a professional development about Autism: Unmasking Misconceptions for a local organization, offered free and paid parent workshops, organized community events, and collaborated/designed a sign with a local business to sell!

I am currently working on a Neuroaffirming Parent Coaching Guide and continuing to engage in speaking opportunities related to my experience. In the future I foresee myself going back to school for my Ph.D. to focus on the underrepresentation of female autistics in relation to implicit and explicit biases in our diagnostic processes.

My mission is to ensure that individuals of all neurodivergent backgrounds find a welcoming and supportive environment in which they can thrive by embracing the blooms of neurodiversity.
