Laura Figliuolo
Laura is a multitalented 21-year-old singer, songwriter, pianist, actor, and novice music producer from Canton, Michigan. Laura is a member of The Spectrum of Sound Choir, and she contributes to their social media pages. Laura was diagnosed with autism at 18 months old and immediately began early interventions, including speech, music, occupational, and play therapies. Laura did not speak words until age four, but by her eighth birthday, she was singing, dancing, playing piano, and acting with FAR, a non-profit therapeutic arts organization. She grew up on FAR’s stage and blossomed into a seasoned performer. Laura’s uncommon confidence allowed her to branch out and venture into local choirs, singing competitions, dance recitals, and acting classes. She gigged with two School of Rock bands as a keyboardist and vocalist. Laura also played gigs as a solo warm-up act, entertaining audiences with her heartfelt original songs. Laura has gratefully accepted many invitations to sing at charitable fundraisers and celebrity events. She is a natural performer and a theatre nerd who has shined in 18 musical theatre productions. Laura’s favorite roles include the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz, Rapunzel in Into The Woods Jr., and the Queen of Hearts in Alice In Wonderland. Laura has participated in summer programs at the University of Michigan, Interlochen, and Berklee College of Music. Laura recently released her first single, “Make Kindness Reality,” and is currently taking Berklee Online courses. Laura is working with the Flutie Foundation to continue performing, producing, and releasing her original songs!
