Riley Witz

My name is Riley Witz, I have been diagnosed on the spectrum since I was two years old, and am currently identified as having PDD-NOS. Over the years, with the help and support of loved ones and professionals, I have able to become high functioning, and go from low expectations, to surpassing all of them that have been set for me. Growing up, many treated me differently and in some cases, rather unkindly, which made me feel isolated and ashamed of myself. However, as I continued to grow, I did not let these negative sentiments harden my heart, and they instead made it more full and loving, inspiring me to strive to be the best man I can be. I do this to uplift others, so they needn’t see the harsh side of people that I did, and so they may have hope, that no matter who they are, or what they are diagnosed with, they too can be the best possible version of themselves, and can accomplish so many great things.
