Nico Vargas, born in Fresno, CA, in 1999, of Mexican, Indigenous, and French descent and is an R&B, pop, country, soft rock, and versatile singer-songwriter and actor. His twin brother, Diego Vargas (aka Ne10), is a DJ, audio engineer, and music producer. Nico’s musical influences expanded from Vicente Fernandez; Journey; Earth, Wind & Fire; Garth Brooks; Michael Jackson; Bruno Mars; Lionel Richie; Phil Collins; Prince; Whitney Houston; and many more legendary artists.

Following the Autism Spectrum diagnosis at age 3, he started to become interested, observant, and passively eager about music. By September of 2006, at age 7, he began to teach himself how to play the piano and sing simultaneously. By 2014, he began experimenting with music production and technology. Then, by 2017, he developed into one, like so. In addition to his musical upbringing, having bilingual parents, they encouraged him to also learn how to sing in Spanish, being influenced by Vicente Fernandez and Pepe Aguilar. Because of his sensitivities to certain loud noises back in his childhood, he has also been strongly mesmerized by the aforementioned legendary artists. As a result, his commitment to his art is undoubtedly determined by his faith in God, and His higher calling. Despite the setbacks and some bullying he has faced in life, he has remained persistent in his works that he’s very proud of. Yet, he’s also grounded in knowing his roots that etched his being altogether.

On June 7th, 2017, he graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School along with Roosevelt School of the Arts with hopes of becoming a successful recording artist. He has been currently a keyboardist and vocalist for a local cover party band “Eminent Groove”, since January 12th, 2024. The band consists of variety of dance music, which includes R&B/Soul, Pop, Top 40, Country, Rock N’ Roll, Latin, and Instrumental, and so on.
