The Cucchi Family

Alex and Giana Cucchi have been instrumental to the growth of the Flutie Foundation over the last eight years, in honor of Alex’s brother Thomas. Both Alex and Giana have run the Boston Marathon for Dougie’s Team for Autism multiple times, raising over $250,000. Gianna has become an active and engaged board member. But their day-to-day engagement is what sets them apart. They open their home to autistic ambassadors, offer rides to and from training runs, and so much more.

Cucchi-Family

Being part of Dougie's Team over the years has been one of the most meaningful experiences for our family. Running the Boston Marathon is so much more than crossing a finish line. It's our way of giving back to a community that has given our family so much. The Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism has been a beacon of hope for families like ours, creating opportunities, fostering inclusion, and reminding individuals and families affected by autism that they are never alone. What makes this organization so special is the people behind it and their unwavering commitment to making a difference. To be recognized by a foundation that means so much to our family is truly an honor, and we are incredibly grateful to be a small part of its impact.
