Are you a competitive adaptive runner looking to further your racing career, pursue your passion for running, and be part of a team of runners from across the world doing the same? Whether you run 5Ks, marathons, or anything in between, the Flutie Adaptive Running Team supports autistic runners who are serious about taking their running to the next level and achieving their next goal in the sport, whatever that may be, from crossing the next finish line, qualifying for the Boston Marathon, and beyond.

Team Goals:

The Flutie Adaptive Racing Team's goals are threefold: to empower and support autistic runners in achieving their athletic goals, foster a sense of community and inclusion within the adaptive running world, and provide resources, sponsorship, and training opportunities to dedicated and committed athletes athletes.

Team Benefits:

The Flutie Adaptive Racing Team provides committed athletes sponsorships and stipends to support training and competition, professional coaching, and opportunities for community building and ambassadorship.

Athletes have the opportunity to receive team gear, training support and stipends, race support including travel and entry fee reimbursements, and the opportunity to participate in the Abbot World Marathon Majors (fundraising commitment required)."

Team Requirements

The Flutie Adaptive Racing Team is intended for athletes wanting to advance their running career while promoting the Flutie Foundation and representing the team during their competitions. We are looking for committed runners who are looking to actively be a part of a team and a community of runners dedicated to advancing the sport of adaptive running.

Accepted team members commit to wear team gear at all racing events, be an ambassador of the team and represent it to the best of their ability, attend in person training runs (Boston based runners), and volunteer for the Flutie Foundation at events when able.

Sponsored athletes will be reviewed on an annual basis based on frequency of competition for the team, attendance at events and training runs, commitment to the program, among others.
