STARS OF THE SPECTRUM MUSIC FESTIVAL

WHEN TO ARRIVE AND WHAT TO EXPECT

There will be amazing music by autistic performers all day long. That said, we highly encourage that you are present for our FEATURED ARTISTS SET from 5-7:30 pm. This is a CAN’T MISS set featuring music by Kodi Lee – winner of America’s Got Talent; R&B legend Faith Evans; and our STARS of the Spectrum live performance of 15 autistic artists’ groundbreaking album! Therefore, if you only intend to stay for a few hours, please feel free to arrive later and/or plan your day accordingly. You are welcome to come and go at any time.

In addition to listening and dancing to incredible music all day long, there are a variety of family-and-sensory-friendly activities, including:

Shop the Spectrum – a fist-of-its kind merchant area that will feature autistic vendors, entrepreneurs and artists. You will be able to shop for unique products created BY autistic artists! This area will be open from 2:00 pm – 7:30 pm. You can purchase items and pick them up when you leave the concert, if you’d like.

TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING

We encourage use of carpooling, uber/lyft/taxi, or public transportation. Detailed information on all options below:

Parking:

Guaranteed parking at Satellite Lot with Shuttle: 

We STRONGLY encourage you to take advantage of this option.  Paid parking ($8 for 2-8 hours) is available at President’s Place Parking Garage, located at 1250 Hancock Street (see map below). There will be free shuttles running between this parking lot and the Stadium every 20 minutes throughout the entire event.
We will scan your concert ticket on the shuttle so you can avoid security lines once you arrive to the stadium

Non-guaranteed free parking:

There is limited free parking - on a first-come-first-serve basis - at lots and on roads within a short walk to Veterans Memorial Stadium (see map below). You are welcome to try these lots and streets (there will be a parking attendant on-site to assist):

  • Colletta baseball field 
  • Adams field/Pageant field  
  • Central middle school 
      • Fenmo Street Courts lot
  • Some sections of Southern Artery (main street from hancock to furnace brook)

ADA/Handicap accessible parking: 

If you have a handicap decal or if you have reached out to us regarding your needs, please access the McCoy Field Parking Lot. For more information, email tickets@flutiefoundation.org.

Guest Drop-off: There will be a bus drop-off and family/individual drop-off area right at the main entrance to the venue on Merrymount Parkway.

Agency Van Parking: If you are an agency or organization bringing a group in a van, you can park in designated van parking areas (see map above indicated in red) along Southern Artery and in Coletta Field Parking lot.

Bus/Van Parking: Guests can be dropped off at the Main stadium entrance, and buses can park at Quincy High School (100 Coddington St, Quincy, MA 02169)

Uber/Lyft/Taxi/Rideshare: We encourage use of taxi/rideshare to get to Veteran’s Memorial Stadium.

Public Transportation:

MBTA Redline Subway outbound to Wollaston Station, walk 0.8 mi

MBTA Redline Subway inbound to Quincy Center Station, walk 0.8 mi

Other:

Bike racks are available onsite next to the entrance. Please leave your Hoverboards, Segways, skateboards, and scooters at home!

 

TICKET INFORMATION & SEATING LOCATIONS

If you already purchased tickets, you can find your electronic tickets in an email that you will receive after you purchase. We will re-send all tickets two days before the event to the email you signed up with. If you don’t see them, please contact us at tickets@flutiefoundation.org.

ENTRY:

General Admission please follow signs for ALL TICKET ENTRY gates to have your ticket scanned and to go through security.

Extra Access: enter through the General admission gates and follow signs to the Extra Access Entrance, where you will pick up your wristband.

Sensory and ADA: Please follow signs for Gate D for a sensory-inclusive entrance (to the right of General Admission entrance).

Re-entry: Every attendee can leave and re-enter anytime if they have their e-ticket for re-entry! Attendees will be asked to pass through security each time.

 

ADA ACCESSIBILITY AND AUTISM/SENSORY-INCLUSIVITY

Our music festival is sensory-inclusive. This is a music festival, so please note there will be loud, live music on stage. We are offering a sensory-tent and quiet spaces for people who need to step away. We are also offering sensory items such as headphones, fidget toys, and earplugs.

Other Sensory-welcoming information

  • There are multiple sensory-quiet areas including a clearly marked, air-conditioned sensory tent and quiet rooms under the bleachers.
  • In addition to wonderful music performed by talented autistic musicians, there will be sensory-friendly activities including bubbles, art areas, and more. Stay tuned for more information

ADA Accessibility

  • There will be a wheelchair accessible area on the field and an area near the stands. There will be multiple accessible restrooms. All areas will be mapped and have appropriate signage.
  • ADA Parking is available on-site. Please refer to “Transportation and Parking” section above.
  • There is a sensory-inclusive and ADA-friendly entrance at Gate D.

 

FOOD AND BEVERAGE

We are thrilled to offer Jersey Mike’s, Wahlburgers, on-site concession stands, The Lunch Box Vegetarian Menu, and more! Beer, VIVA Seltzers, soda, and water will be available for purchase. A free refillable water station will be on site!

What Food Is/Isn't Allowed

Outside food is not allowed. There will be plenty of food options throughout the day for purchase. Food is not allowed on the field.

You cannot bring in outside beverages. All water and other beverage containers must be emptied before entry into the stadium. Refillable empty water bottle containers are allowed (no glass, please!). There will be a water refill fill station on site. Alcohol (beer and seltzer), soda, and water bottles will be sold at the festival.

Forms of Payment

Credit cards and cash are accepted forms of payment for food and beverages. There is no ATM on-site, so plan ahead!

Weather Safety

The event is rain-or-shine so please check the forecast and come prepared.  That said, we are taking the following precautions in anticipation of hot August weather:

  • Shade: There will be a 400 square-foot shade tent on the field with view of stage
    • Our main sensory-welcoming tent will be air-conditioned
    • There will be two additional sensory-welcoming rooms located under the stands/bleachers
    • Later in the day, the sun sets behind trees and the bleachers, creating some sun protection in areas of the venue
  • Sunscreen: There will be sunscreen packets available at the main information table as well as other locations throughout the venue. We also encourage you to bring your own sunscreen.
  • Water:
    • The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority will be providing a 300-gallon water fountain where you can fill your own water bottle.
    • There will also be bottled water for sale and concession stands throughout the venue.
  • Arrival Time: Please feel free to arrive later in the day when it gets cooler. If you arrive by 5:00 pm, you will still see our Featured Artists Sets and Headliner Sets
  • General Safety: There will be Emergency Medical Services on site for heat-related or any health-related issues

Seat cushions and blankets are welcome.

Sun-screen

Animals: Trained and licensed service dogs are the only animals allowed

Strollers

Not Allowed:

Alcohol (beer and seltzer will be sold at the festival) or liquids of any kind. All water and other beverage containers must be emptied before entry into the stadium.

Tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, are prohibited inside the stadium or near the entry gates.

Animals (other than licensed service animals assisting those with disabilities).

No framed or large backpacks.

Bags larger than 14”x14”x6”.

Bicycles inside the festival grounds (bike racks are available onsite next to the entrance)

Chairs or Lawn furniture - Seat cushions and blankets welcome.
